My husband and I really enjoy having friends around but in summer it's just too hot to stay inside. Besides it's a real waste of the stunning view we have and the kids are always in the pool and I really don't like them coming inside when they are wet! The bar counter can fit snugly into the corner and for people who like to sit at the bar and chat over a few drinks the right sized bar stools will come in handy too. What type of bar you will get will depend largely on your taste, as well as your budget and more importantly how exposed the patio area is. I would have loved to have bought a wooden bar set but just couldn't since we live in a very humid environment and mould is a real problem for us.
My mother is a very practical person and she insisted I consider the plastic patio set in terms of practicality. Initially I was a little hesitant because I didn't want the patio area to look cheap, but little did I know that plastic was not limited to white and low cost. There are some great designs if you just look around a bit. The hardest part of all of this was choosing the design I wanted.
There are so many options and it took me a while to settle on a final idea. Simple and low cost outdoor furniture can be dressed up with all sorts of accessories. Cushion covers, table cloths, side tables, and candle sticks or lanterns can add a great personal touch and flavor to the area. I have found that the more simple the design of the furniture is, the more I can accessorize it and make it my own. But each to their own.
